What’s The Difference Between Grammarly Free And The  Premium Version?

Deciding if Grammarly’s Free version will fit your writing needs or if the Premium upgrade is the ticket all comes down to features. No matter what your grammar expertise is, both will help you polish your writing.

Grammarly: Basic Account

Grammarly’s free account provides the basics:

  • High-level proofreading
  • Spell checking
  • Corrects minor grammar and punctuation mistakes

The desktop app and the Chrome extension flags issues with suggested corrections making them easy to fix.

If you only want to proof and polish short text, then likely this entry-level version is right for you. You will need a good grasp of grammar, though because Grammarly will only show the basic offenses that almost everyone makes. Advanced grammar rules, clarity, word choice, and style suggestions are reserved for the premium upgrade.

This video walks you through all of the features found in the basic version and explains how it works.

Grammarly: Premium Account

There are clear advantages to the upgraded version. Added features such as a plagiarism checker and the option to have a professional proofreader review your document for a small fee puts tools at your disposal to polish your manuscript. You’ll also get a much deeper analysis on any issues in your text with an explanation of how to fix them.

Part two of our video review shows you all the Premium features, plus how the program integrates with websites to make form-fills, and social posts as error-free as possible.
